1. That children belong to God, not to the state.
   
    
2. That the responsibility for the training of a child is entrusted, Biblically, to his parents.
   
    
3. That God is the source of all truth: that a child is to be taught God's Word as an integral part of his training.
   
    
4. That the documents under which our country and state were established and by which we are covenanted together to be governed -- the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution of the United States, the VA Constitution, and the VA Declaration of Religious Freedoms -- were framed according to Biblical tenets of civil government and liberty, and that through these documents parents are guaranteed to execute the right to execute their responsibility for the education of their children.
   
    
5. That we, as citizens of this country, state, and community have the privilege to be involved in the political process by which laws are created and amended and public resources are expended.
